The day our shop was full with people in uniforms

I am not very excited to post the photos from this event but I owe it to my staff who told her son that I will be uploading the picture of his mother so that he can view and show it to the people back home. Apparently, since the first time I showed my staff the picture of our shop on the Internet, I was requested to post more photos of our shop rather than non-related pictures (oh well)

The event was in conjunction of Program Bandar Selamat, a project under Kementerian Perumahan & Kerajaan Tempatan and is taken under the wing of Jabatan Perancangan Bandar. If you haven't notice, they have installed mirrors at the back alleys to help prevent snatch theft and other papan tanda as well. TTDI was chosen to be the pioneer of this program and 5 to 6 other bandar will follow suit.

So, they have chosen our place for the press conference that lasted nearly 20 minutes. The minister however, sarcastically opened the floor by saying in a fluent Malay with Kedah slang "Semua soalan yang awak semua nak tanya dah ada dalam buku program, saya taktau awak nak tanya apa lagi? " and the room was filled with laughter but that doesn't stop reporters from bombarding the minister. If you ask me, this was the first time I've heard or seen the minister's face (highly likely because I seldom watch the news) but I assumed this is the kind of minister who is not keen on being famous. He gets his hands dirty. Cewah.

As for us at Ruz Aladdin TTDI, this is our debut event held where the guest list includes VVIPs, DBKL, orang2 kuat TTDI Residence Association (jangan main2) and of course the media. Around 100 people were present that we had to put up a tent for 30-40 people outside of our little shop.

Our  special thank you to Zuliana & Ismah from NKRA and Inspektor Jamil (Ketua Balai Polis TTDI), for the opportunity to be a part of this event. Good luck in your next road show.
